That is what led me to this original post. I was researching to see if anyone else felt the same way.

I also thought that East Of Eden had some similarities to There Will Be Blood. I’ve never read the book that There Will Be Blood is based on, but researching it indicates that it was written before East Of Eden. I even had an argument with a friend a few days ago about it. He asked me if I saw East of Eden and I said: yes, the one with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt... He said, no: the one with James Dean. I started to tell him what was going on in the movie and he agreed; but, in fact I saw LOTF and not East of Eden. I thought I lost my mind and started researching and being curious about my mistake...and found several people saying the same thing. (Also, It happened to be like the 50th anniversary of his death or something like that...completely accidental).

I still love it, utterly. It's just not quite an experience. While I find, that Rebel gets BETTER every time.

EOE is still so amazing. Gawsssshhhh! James Dean is so completely and utterly adorable. I mean SERIOUSLY. I couldn't care LESS what happens to any of the other characters...hehehe!

Great post!Milliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08562702535170134885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7760451220680496225.post-71187170220075660752010-04-12T21:41:04.245-07:002010-04-12T21:41:04.245-07:00I had an obsession with James Dean when I was in h...I had an obsession with James Dean when I was in high school during the 1970's. You couldn't find too much memorabilia on him back then but now it is everywhere. We shared a birthday ... I thought that was a 'sign' ... he was beautiful and brilliant. Loved him in Rebel Without a Cause. I've read tons of books on him and love him to this day ... although not quite so obsessively! I love legends of the Fall, though, it's a beautiful filmKendrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00249077643561441898noreply@blogger.com
